When you first open a stock chart, you may be a little "daunted" at first, and wonder what all of the "squigley" lines mean, but rest assured, it will all start to make a lot more sense shortly.
First lets take a look a basic stock chart, break it down to see what it all means.

Ok ... Here's a snapshot of a stock chart. Asyou can see, there are 3 different windows within this chart.
The top window (the little bars) is the stocks price. The next window is the stocks volume (the red bars), and the bottom window is where we place a stock charting indicator. In this case, we have used the OBV (On Balance Volume) indicator.
Let's focus firstly on the top window. The price bars.
